FOREWORD
Back in 2015, I had a professor na sobrang passionate pagdating sa ating wika, ang Filipino. He had a lot of different teaching methods and activities in order to keep his class entertaining and engaging. He isn't the best professor that I had a pleasure of meeting nor was he the best mentor out there but when it comes to pushing his students out of their comfort zones, I'd say he's one of the best. I mean, we were in our junior year that time and were busy with our major subjects but he still insisted on making us participate in different activities of their respective department. Because of him, our class joined the "sabayang pagbigkas", We went through a lot of ups and downs because of it. I remember getting home at around 11 pm or midnight just because of our practices. We really did our best and was even motivated by the incentives that he promised us.
Alam mo yung feeling na halos maubusan ka ng hininga dahil sa sobrang saya at pagtatatalon sa galak? Well, yun yung naramdaman ko when we won the title. All our efforts have been paid off and we felt so proud of ourselves for getting the over-all title in the university. Mind you, we even had a TV guesting in Net25 because our professor had a connection with the network. Hahahaha! Good times...
Anyway, it was also because of him that I was given an opportunity to rediscover my love for writing poems. That time kasi medyo naging busy ako at nakalimot sa kung ano nga ba ang kaya kong gawin sa larangan ng pagsusulat. Kaya sobrang laki rin ng aking pasasalamat sa aking prof noon dahil kahit na nahirapan at na-pressure ako ng bongga sa pagsusulat ng tula, ay ipinagmamalaki ko naman ngayon ang aking mga gawa. Kung nasaan ka man ngayon, thank you, sir!
